Hi everyone. Like a lot of people i stumbled across this forum as I was researching HRT. I'm 47, been overweight since high school after I stopped playing organized sports. In my adult life I've bounced around between 210 and at one point up to 295 lbs. Purposeful exercise/working out has always been a problem for me, from boredom to lack of motivation. Lack of motivation has been a common factor in a lot of my decisions throughout my life! I'm at the point in my life where I feel I have to make some changes, and that's what I've been trying to do. Eating healthier is a big priority, I truly understand now that we are what we eat, I wish I knew more about nutrition when I was younger! That's one good thing about the internet, we all have access to so much information if we just seek it out. Which is what brought me here, rambling to strangers about myself. Lol.
Im 6' tall, about 250lbs, down about 25lbs with the help of some peptides. I've always yoyo'd with diets, the real weakness being carbs. Reta has been a huge help shutting down the food noise. I feel better, and I'm done with the yoyo bs. Im too old for the nonsense, and not getting any younger. My wife and I are the same age, and both taking our health more seriously now, with grand babies to see grow up! She's about to graduate as an NP, but been a nurse for almost 20 years, so she's a good resource for me as well. Also been telling me for years to look into HRT. So I'm about to start. I've never had my blood drawn, never been a fan of needles. I've gotten over that somewhat from injecting peptides, but still not wanting to get my blood stolen from my veins, I used an at home kit to send in my blood for a hormone test. (Went out today actually) I wish I could do that for all lab tests. Lol. But i wanted to get a baseline before I started anything so I can keep track of my hormone levels. I plan on starting a low dose 20mg/day test c, and 2ui hgh. And retest in about 6 weeks, see where my levels are. Also have some HCG I was thinking about starting as well in low doses, but might wait to see what my next test shows.
I look forward to learning more from all the experts on this site, there's a lot of real world expertise here and these days it seems you can trust that more than what the some of the stuff coming from the medical establishment. It's amazing the drugs that are pushed vs the ones that are gate kept. I'll stop my rant there! I hope I can also contribute any way I can on here.
Thanks for reading!
