Lets start a grocery list when cycling for lean gains..price is an issue for some of us when shopping, keep that in mind.By grocery list I mean items you would buy at grocery store weekly while on cycle. Also list things to avoid.

Some of my protein sources
almonds
tuna fish
cottage cheese
peanut butter
egg whites
shrimp
chicken
roast beef-cold cut
pork chops

I get a lot of what sporty does. Just maybe some variations. For my peanut butter, I get smart balance which is mainly omegas and flax as the fat source. I get egg whites, but also get omega eggs to add in some healthy fat to the meals. Plain chicken breasts (VERY good price). Wild fish (a little bit more). Lean ground beef. For carbs, whole oats, wheat pasta, brown rice, fruits (fresh of course) fat free yogurt. Also, a little side note for those who like nuts. Boiled peanuts are actually some of the healthiest as the process of boiling them helps the nut absorb most of the nutrients from the shell (which is where most of them are)

peanut butter

probably like my favorite food right there lol ... i dnt even knw why i love it soo much, they must put coke or some sort of narcotic in it cuz i crave the sutff hard at times ...

i personally love walnuts and almonds, lean chiicken breats ... skinless of course, salmon, egg whites, yogurt, powdered milk (real good source of protein man, youd be surprised) ... oat meal, whole grain bread, brown rice .... i elminate all sauces and what not, so i usually load up on tomatoe paste haha - it makes pasta taste lke shit, but i eat it with everything ... 25mgs of salt per 2 tblespoons... cant gooo wrong broo - ... uhmm whey protein ... Brocolli and carrots ... and potatoes man ... potatoes during cuttng season are like my favorite carb ... ummm i tend to stay away from the red meats on a lean gains cycle ... unless im using tren ....

in which case i buy extra lean ground beef - a bit more than the regular stuff - but its still cheap -and tastes incredible - beef is probably my favorte food in the world ... lean porkchops are good to - though i cant eat them unless they are well marinated ... that usually equals salt - so i avoid it ...

uhmm other than that man, maybe turkey ... and Red Wine ... in limited quantities can act as a vasodiolator and is good for the heart ... and digestion - i usually drink a 750ml bottle with 10dbols .... makes for a good night sleep - really helps that sense of well being feeling from dbol kick in faster (kidding!) ... but i find a glass here and there, after a meal is good at times -

im not really much of a fan of mixing different types of fruits, or berries for that matter, though some wines do taste good in that aspect ... but i like drinkng wines made from a single grape ... love a good Merlot, Cabernet and Chardonnay ... ohh one exception to whites would have to be a nicely chilled Pino Grigio ... i enjoy dry tasting wines, nothing overboard ... but always had a liking for them

id say a good red wine that ive had recently was a Borolo ... Ceretto Barolo Zonchera ... not going to lie, not very familiar with Ceretto wines, though this one was good ... I bought it up from the LCBO, was in a rush, jst asked the clerk there for a recommendaton ... made for a lovely evening ... actually i only tried it because i had no time to grab a bottle from home, and wanted to take something for my date ... its a pretty reasonably priced wine ... not cheap ... not expensive - but its worth the price ... willl definitely drink it again ...

ive actually cut back on drinkng a lot ... like i dnt drink beer or liquor anymore ... esepcially after that one night with my now ex ... just dnt think hard alcohol is for me and beers maybe on a blue moon, but not regurlarly... in regards to the hard stuff ... too many shots too fast .. and boom ur wasted ... and being wasted isnt something i much fancy ... that being said ive always liked wine, and now i prefer to drink it over any other type of alcoholic beverage

how about yourself? any suggestions

Yep, same stuff as Sporty, I just buy it at Costco and I get the "looks" from people as I check out
Cart full of:
Chicken
Big Giant cans of Tuna
Thick Cut Pork Chops (i take the fat off)
Giant bags of Almonds
Big containers of cottage cheese
Steaks
Lettuce
Broccoli

Looks like I am shopping for a school luncheon. I get my egg whites online, I was buying the big crates of those also but storing them is a pain.

I was hoping that we would be able to make a new grocery list for me but it seems we all eat the same ol' stuff. Oh well whatever works right:)

As for red wine..I drink a glass or two every night with dinner so I tend to fancy the less expensive wines..
Kendall-Jackson -Cabernet Sav
Rosemont-Cab Sav
Bin 555 Shiraz
Jacob's Creek-everything they make
Robert Mondavi-Cab Sav
Quara- Malbec

My hubby just made 25 gallons of homemade wine but wont be ready til around Easter. But any of these are the cheapest and best tasting I have had so far...there are a ton of others too but these are the easiest to find.

Nice, homemade wine is the best. I have 700 gallons here from when my grandfather passed away, it's in my crawl space and in 5 gallon glass carboys. Some dates back to 1979!
The Malbec is really good Sporty, so is the Shiraz, not a big Cab fan but I do like a good Cabernet Franc or Chianti.
I head out to the vineyards in LI a few times a year and buy some stuff out there, they have some really good vineyards and some good tasting wines.
Haven't drank in 3 weeks so enough of this convo, LOL

As far as the groceries, I have just been buying new spices and hot sauces to spice things up and change the taste of things. I found crushed jalapeno flakes the other day and have been putting them on everything, like red pepper but made with jalapenos, yummy!

Been giving it away actually! People in the bar I work in love it so I give them a few gallons here and there and haven't even made a freaking dent!
What kind did your hubby make?

are you kidding or serious??[:o)]
promise , you try taking tuna out of a can put as much yogurt on it that most people put mayo , it tastes great (you have to use flavored , i use apple or raisin flavored yogurt , try it ,you will thank me later)great source of protein!

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth [:o)] Especially with the 2 flavors you mentioned and tuna.

I use fat free sour cream if I am mixing tuna with anything instead of mayo, comes out the same consistency but usually just use it right out of the can in a salad or just eat it straight up.
