Great capsule filling machine

I've seen a few people post about capsule filling machines, and how sites like medlabgear/supply require you to send them a copy of your ID, and they only have those little Swanson units that hold 24 capsules.

I did some searching and decided to roll the dice with All-in Capsule, and got a nice 100 capsule Size 0 filler for $39. No ID required. Arrived within a week. Super easy to dump the capsules into the machine once you seperate them. Comes with all the tools you need, a good attachment for tamping, and it easily puts the capsules back together without too much mess. Also came with a link to a video on Youtube which made it really easy.

*Not affiliated with them in any way. Just thought I'd share.

They are great when the caps join properly and they dont jam in the holes. One recommendation for people I would is, dont buy clear coloured caps , purchase the dual coloured ones that are pre split , That way you know if its seated properly and you know which colour is the top and bottom.

Check these guys out: Empty Capsules, Gelatin Capsules, Capsule Filler Manufacturer - CapsulCN

They sell capsules and manual capsule machines. Have bought 2 from them and they work very well especially the semi automatic metal one.

For any aspiring labs, their parent company sells more fancy stuff such as tablet presses and v blenders: Pharmaceutical equipment, Solid Dosage Forms Solutions - IPharmachine
How did you get them when you need DEA approval? Are you outside the US? Feel free to DM me if within the US.

No idea how to get it into my own country of Canada either other than finding a company willing to send it as something else on the paper work and then praying it gets through. Do not recommend. Likely will end up on some watch list if it does not get through.

However I have seen on another forum that there are some Chinese companies that have stock already inside the USA. They might have just got lucky though.

I have a hunch that some supplement manufacturers though might not be so legit and might be able to get one for you or at least press the tablets for you. This might explain why some athletes get busted for an extremely low amount in their blood. Could be a cross contaminant. Or the athlete was taking PEDs and just didn't cycle off in time. This is all speculation though.

I imported one. You just gotta fill out a customs for declaring it for personal use for making your own herbal capsules or some shit

My experience has been when they start jamming the capsules may need dying out a tad.

They often need cleaning between batches, that is what causes them to not work well.

Buying pre seperated caps is a real time saver, but they are still only good for very occasional use unless you are very patient.

The problem here is that gelatine capsules are pretty sensitive to changes in their moisture content when empty.

Lowering moisture content can make them brittle & prone to cracking / shattering. Increasing it can lead to softening & deformation. The temperature & relative humidity (RH) under which they’re stored before filling directly affects their moisture content also.

Although they’re less sensitive to moisture changes when filled, using a filler / excipients with a relatively high moisture content (say 10-14% & above) can itself cause problems by the caps absorbing some of that moisture.

Vegan capsules (be they HPMC or Pullan) are far more resistant to moisture content fluctuations caused by temperature / RH / higher moisture excipients & I personally think they’re a far better choice & well worth the added cost.

The Capsule Machine comes with a pack to put in with the caps if they start jamming is the only reason I dry them a bit when they do. The instructions say to lol. I will post a pic of instructions later.
Making canna caps since 2013 with one. Only 24 at a time but so fun.

I use these.
Makes 100 at a go.
I would love for them to be in acrylic but those cost a few hundred, which doesn't make sense since I only make caps a couple of times a year..

Given how cheap these are selling for, i don't think it makes sense for people to 3d print and sell them.

I wash it in the dishwasher after each use.

Yeah, I bought a The Capsule Machine many moons ago too. I still use it occasionally when I want to experiment with something new & only want to make a small trial batch.

So yes, I’ve the instructions before & know what they advise, but what I posted along the same lines as what Torpac Capsule advise, & as well as being a large capsule manufacturer, they make capping kit for compounding pharmacists, supplement companies & pharma R&D (their cheapest capsule machine (100 hole) start at close to $2k).

That said, if you’re only buying empty capsules in reasonably small volume & making a batch or two of 24 caps at a time, then following the advice from those instructions isn’t really a problem, particularly as IME the tolerances on The Capsule Machine’s holes are quite tight & finished capsules are far more prone to sticking than in the AllInOne type posted above.

I have one of those in #0 that I use for capping various legal supplements & for the price you can’t go wrong with one - I paid around $30 on Amazon UK for mine.

I also have a 240 hole acrylic one in #4 that I picked up second hand & as new for a bargain price off ebay, which I use for oral AAS (#4 is perfect for orals IMO). It’s a much higher quality than the one above (& a joy to use), but I wouldn’t of spent several hundred $ on a new one as it’s overkill for capping for personal use. With acrylic ones, you also have to careful about both washing temps & storage to avoid warping - I store mine fully disassembled as the force from the springs under the bottom plate are enough to cause the bottom plate to develop a concave, which would lead to unequal filling (& thus dosing) across each batch.

I've looked into the Allinone before. Someday maybe. I need to find something I want to capsule in bulk! Thats awesome that the holes aren't as tight. Something else to for me to think about in the future if I ever go all in on homemade pills. Thank you!

It’s probably worth giving vegetarian caps a try as when you run out of gelatine caps as that might stop or at least reduce caps sticking in your machine.

I would definitely recommend them if you ever start capping in bulk instead of 24 caps as & when you need them as they don’t have the same potential for spoiling during extended storage as gelatine caps do: eg going soft / soggy, hard / brittle, welding together in clumps, or undergoing “cross linking” - basically a change in the internal structure of gelatine that makes it harder for your digestive system to dissolve & then digest. It’s for these reasons why their use has overtaken gelatine caps by both the pharma & supplement industries, rather than a commercial need to cater for vegan, vegetarian, Halal or Kosher etc requirements.
