GH role in powerlifting

@Worf @Perrin Aybara

Or anyone else help and old man out. We didn't have some of the stuff back then that is around nowadays. I keep it simple now with Test blast and cruise and Var pre meet which only happens once maybe twice a year. When younger a pre meet cycle would consist mostly of Deca Dbol sust. and occasionally halo the week of. There were guys of course that did a whole lot more then that but the average joe did something like above. Any opinions on if low dose GH (1-2 units/day) would provide any benefit to strength for a 50 y/o? I definitely could use any injury recovery benefits that would occur. Also I wouldn't want to get into doses where glucose levels/insulin would come into play significantly. Don't want to play that game.
Just want opinion on whether this low of dose would have any benefit especially regarding bang for your buck ($$) category as the price you know is pretty high.
Thanks

You are definitely correct about the role of peds changing for strength training over the years. When I first got involved with aas 10-12 years ago the big heavy guys used test and deca, eq, dbol/drol. Any guys concerned about weight used test prop, winstrol maybe tren if they could find it and var if they could afford it. Shit all came from Mexico or
international from Europe/middle east.
Now everyone is using gh. Tren is everywhere, theres new orals like sdrol, halo. New injectables like dhb and tren E, npp.

Im really not the guy to give advice on gh. I just started using it and Im not really feeling too great so far.

I suggest getting your IGF1 levels tested to see where you're at now.

GH is hard to pin down as to whether it will help with injuries. It can certainly help with recovery but it's kind of hit or miss on injury.

Generally, I would say just give it a try for a few months and see what you think. I would use it more often but I tend to get tired of pinning it everyday and I also forget. For me it's most useful to look better and get leaner in the summer. Test, primo, GH and anavar has become my tried and true summer cycle.

Lethargic, kinda out of it

How much you taking?

It's important to start lower and work up if you get sides. I made to mistake of using like 5iu right off the bat and found out what it was like to feel the tops of my feet jiggle from water retention...

Aside from maybe boosting recovery a bit - not something I've really noticed personally - I could see the additional intramuscular water retention being a boon.

More in that more mass equates in most cases to better leverages and decreased range of motion.

But the same could be said for any wet compound.

So...I dunno. -\('-')/-

It makes me feel more rested and recovered. The body composition benefits are nice and muscle preservation when cutting. I think it's worth it as something mild to add in to cruises with few sides and good for in season recovery.

Thanks Work, keep us updated on what you think. Yeah times have changed. Might give into one run with A-bombs in the future since I never tried them once I am healthy again--Too old for most of this new stuff out there.

Thanks Eman. Coming off hip replacement surgery. Doing well but never well enough (right)? Running some TB-500 at present but cant really tell if it is doing anything. Just want to get this hip better fast. Havent deadlifted or squatted competitively for years and don't plan to but the affected hip is sure causing me stability issues on my bench press at this time. Im sure things will be better after healing is complete but I am sure getting anxious to get back to the heavy stuff.

If I were in your shoes, I would research the best sports physical therapist in your vicinity and make an appointment.

Of course, healing is going to be a crucial part of the overall recovery... But you'd be surprised just how much a good PT will be able to get you working properly when the physical healing is done. When I was having knee trouble, my PT focused on stability and mobility the most, also a little graston therapy which may or may not help you.

The GH isn't a bad idea but I personally tend to feel a little tight in the muscles when I use it. I have to be consistent about stretching. If I don't, it starts to affect my knees, ankles and hips to a lesser degree because the tight muscles make me move in ways that stress those joints. Keep that in mind.

Just 1 iu a day. I herd the stories too. Might just need some adjustment to

I feel like between 2 and 4 iu is a sweet spot for me.
Any higher and I start feeling lethargic.

2 is nice for some MINOR water retention, which I find helps with the lifts and recovery.

I'm a GH lifer.
Bouncing from 2iu therapeutic and 4iu during blasts or PCT.

I will say with out a doubt I feel much more rested in the morning. Maybe too rested , lol. I destroyed my legs 2 days ago, could barely sit on the toilet. This morning they feel like I could probably pull but not quite really for squats. Is it the gh or just a coincidence? Can’t really say yet.

One of the many reasons I love GH.

Something that there hasn't been too many studies about is GH effext on Cortisol and sleep.

We all know, lifting comes down to...(In terms of Importance)

Nutrition
Sleep
Training.

Well, GH helps a lot with the sleep portion and elimination of cortisol from our systems.

I dont think the doses we are taking will help much with our actual muscle building.
But the satellite effect from Cortisol and better recovery from sleep, are quite profound in my opinion.

Sure, muscle building at 15iu is insane with slin.

But 2iu is also a great place for getting rid of the gains killer and ensuring proper rest.

When us the last time anyone actually got 8 hours in a row?

I honestly cant remember lol

Wasn't aware of the tight muscle association. I definitely don't need that as I am very tight and non flexible as a rule. I took 4 weeks of PT post op and they were very good people/therapists. I live in a small city and I think they were the best around here. They took into account my past history and goals and really tailored a good rehab program for me. Im starting to go off there program and slowly implementing some sled dragging work, modified reverse hypers and hope to get on a belt squat machine soon with a high box. PT is great-- problem is us old guys didn't do much mobility in the past ( regretfully) and a lot of our flexibility/mobility has peaked and gone with age. I will confess. I hate stretching I don't necessarily like mobility work, but I have held my nose and swallowed the medicine like a good boy. Im recovering well just not fast enough for my impatience. Im sure once I get this strength build back up in the left hip everything will come together. Im just impatient because the amount of PR's and max attempts left in this ole body. Thanks for all responses. Good learning

My sleep on HGH is a bad as when on Tren! Somehow it still helps with recovery but sleep is shit!

Really?

Myself and everyone I know has slept much better with GH.

If I pin 4 IU before bed, I pretty fall into a coma
Doesn’t sound sound like hgh to me. Everyone I know gets terrible sometimes painful CTS including myself. I have to sit up maybe 20 times a night to shake my arms of pins and needles. The same people that claim better sleep also claim better skin and thicker hair. Lulz!Better sleep for who? The elderly maybe.

yeah the CTS sucks
but its fuck all in comparison to my other injuries, so I cant complain.

GH has been clinically proven to increase SWS, so... that's a thing....

I've been swinging a hammer for 16 years... my hands are already fucked, cant get numbness in a spot u cant feel already lol.

I’m glad it helps you sleep brother. I wasn’t trying to argue with you, just sharing my experience. I haven’t used any hgh in over a year and the numbness in my pinky didn’t go until about three months ago. The CTS gets bad for me @ 4iu and up.
