Esterification of oral steroids

Does anyone know if it’s theoretically possible to make anavar cypionate for example? Or does the methyl group at 17th carbon interfere with the necessary reactions?

I’ve never heard of it. Anavar in oil and injecting it would be pointless it already has close to 100% oral bioavailability.
I know, but attaching an ester to it would increase half life. For example anavar itself has half life of about 9 hours, so to achieve somewhat stable levels you would need to take it every 3 hours, which isn’t convenient and it becomes a trouble when it comes to sleep, since it’s not ideal to wake up every 3 hours to take your anavar (or any other oral).

It will also change’s how it interacts with body. Just like how different dbol is from boldenone or superdrol from masteron.

Very doubtful they would create it, atleast doubtful now. They rarely prescribe it for it's original purpose

Dbol is 17 alpha alkylated boldenone, and superdrol is 17 alpha alkylated masterone. That’s what changes the properties of these substances, not the route of administration.

I learnt chemical formulas for all of the relevant AAS, so I know that

Overthinking it. Just get it in you. It will work
I’m actually planning to do it in traditional way in the near future, I just had this idea to make orals with esters attached to them, to fix the issue of orals having short half lives. The unstable levels might be the reason why many peoples acne worsens significantly, like with people injecting too infrequently or using sustanon.

I’ve already read about a couple of guys on r/steroids subreddit making testosterone enanthate from raw testosterone, so maybe it shouldn’t be that difficult to do it, but I don’t know if it would be possible with 17 alpha alkylated steroids.

To attach an ester you need to remove the methyl group at 17 carbon position from anavar. Otherwise there would not be enough space for the ester group.

The reason there would be no point is your stomach would remove the ester. That is its job. So the pill will be broken down by your stomach acid and liver enzymes.

So even if we could create that pill, it would at best be the same as the pill with no ester.

An internal depot of testosterone with an ester, sits in your body slowly dissolving into your bloodstream. Your stomach and liver are not waiting.

Would the half life be any longer for the injectable versions of orals?

You could make an injectable form of it, if it was possible to esterificate it ofcourse.

Definetly, that’s the purpose of esters. For example for enanthate, the half life is about 7-9 days, whether it’d testosterone enanthate, trenbolone enanthate or whatever it may be. The issue is that oral steroids (except provirone which isn’t 17 alpha alkylated) would definetly not be able to attach esters to themselves.
