DWS: traffic or misdemeanor

Hey, karch, on job applications or whatever when they ask about misdemeanor convictions, do I have to tell them about the driving while suspendeds I have?

Technically, it is a misdemeanor charge, but it is a traffic violation and they say that you don't have to disclose traffic violations.

Is it necessary for me to say something? Does it show up on my criminal record as a crime or a driving violation?

I'm not karch, but when I run bkrnds, it comes back on the mvd record, not the criminal. depending on the job, you may or may not want to disclose it. If it's some sort of integrity thing, they may hit you for not mentioning it. if they don't care about traffic stuff it won't hurt you.

I am not a US citizen, I hold a green card and everytime I go through immigration returning from oversees I get the third degree bad... Last time I had all possessions including passport, wallet, luggage etc confiscated and I was placed in an interrogation room.. Dude came in and asked 101 questions some being wacked like have i had restraining orders etc put on me and other wierd shit... Anyway I explained I had been arrested in MA for Driving with a suspended licence and he told me there is basicly my name is flagged as its in the same class as Fellony/misdemeaner, not traffic violation - He was a little shocked as in PA (where I was) he didnt believe it was so I think it really depends on the state too... He was a lil suspect cause it was my second time in Mexico that month too ;)

you contradicted yourself. You said it was "technically" a misdemeanor. But then you said it was a traffic violation. Which is it? If it was a violation, like going through a stop sign, no worries. If it was a misdemeanor, then doesnt matter if it was a driving misdemeanor, a misdemeanor is a misdemeanor, and you should disclose. It's so minor the job probably wouldnt care anyway.
