Does low dose GH really make you look a bit younger?

Some (wealthy yuppie) guys at the gym swear it does

Although they
likely use many other rejuvenating treatments
they like to brag on how much they spend

Some say low-doses aimed mostly at hormone replacement to get GH/IGF1 of a 20 year old do work. High doses used in bodybuilding actually makes you age faster.

Is it true?

My best friends parents both have bought hgh from our own pharmacist here, they are in they 50's and 60's,she has some condition I don't remember what it is, and he has a problem with producing too much prolactin and their problems are almost gone! They have so much more energy, they actually radiate energy. It's amazing! They've been using for about 3 months and they absolutely love it! They are taking low doses 1-2iu's. So I would say yes it does work, especially for older people.

I've noticed reduced wrinkles around my eyes and improvement in skin quality. It absolutely makes you appear younger but I also have a very healthy lifestyle, so I don't have much fighting against anti aging other than genetics and nature.

Ultra doses causing aging. I've never heard of that.

it makes skin look smoother. ghrp/ghrh actually works better in improving skin quality. they make skin feel softer and a lot smoother.
I ran ghrp-6 when I was on a cut. kept finding girls staring at me quite often lol

my girl is on 1 iu a day of pharma, and the results in terms of her hair and skin have been amazing. she's 55 and using it for anti aging. she's only 4 weeks in, so the changes are happening slowly, but she's been very impressed

I have been on it for injuries and recovery for a couple years way back a good 10 years ago then decided to continue it for that reason with 1-2iu a day and YES definitely... it is called the 'Fountain of Youth' for a reason. I am told on daily basis that I look like I'm in my 20's yet I'm close to 40. So it definitely works. But I guess your genes help too with how you age...

Very high doses cause a diabetic-like high blood sugar
Obviously not healthy if used for too long

Interesting.
Maybe GHRs make the body release some other key hormones or substances besides GH?
Does MK677 work as well?

i just started taking mk677 2 days ago. I can already tell a difference in my skin. my face feels so smooth. I heard mk causes lots of water retention though but im on a strict caloric deficit so im not holding much water.

I've been on HGH since April now and i can tell my skin is better, although I must admit I do a lot of stuff to my skin including botox and glycolic acid on a regular basis. That said, there were some pesky fine lines on my cheeks that seem to be much lighter than they used to be. These were ones that even fraxel laser couldn't erase--not dynamic wrinkles, but just small thin lines in the middle of my cheek from sun damage.

It makes my hair and nails grow WAY faster, so I'm sure it has some effect on my skin. However, since I'm 14 years old, I've never really had to worry about my skin yet ;)

If you skin is feeling "smoother or tighter" in a few weeks or month it's because you are holding water from the GH.

mands
yeah. its funny how that placebo effect gets folks thinking a slow acting treatment has immediate effects. it takes months for gh to start working.

I suspect the fact they are being appropriately treated for another hormonally mediated condition has a considerable impact on what your attributing exclusively to the effects of GH.

Soory fella but that's a classic bro extrapolation that is best avoided.

The data you seek is readily available in "elderly" patients whom have adult onset hyposomatotropinemia (low GH levels) and I've seen only anecdotal reports of such an effect.

Another effects of GH at presumed high levels is it results in HYPEROSTOSIS and HYPER-COLLAGENIZATION the facial structures .

Bottom line, the jury is still out until more is known but I suspect such an effect is very much a dose dependent phenomna

I've seen one patient with giantism, indirectly, and his facial features were "rough" and his skin was tough hardly a youthful appearance IMO. BUT he had gigantism with very high GH levels

I can see your bro science mentality here. But the man, has been treated for 4 years with Bromocriptine, now I can't tell you exactly what his condition is because I don't know. But he went and got a blood prolactin test for his yearly check up and the doctor was amazed... not saying it had anything to do with the hormone replacement, or it may have been his medication. But one can hope!;):D

Or maybe GHRs are better for the skin than GH
just because they are cheaper
therefore you won't get the wrinkle-causing sticker shock?

At best GHRFs can only result in
PHYSIOLOGIC GH levels, so as I've mentioned many time before the use of these agents is most likely to benefit those whom at GH deficient, including folk with wrinkles.

The process of aging or wrinkles involves much more than adequate GH levels, bc the primary mechanism responsible is defective DNA repair which is a function of enzymes rather than GH.

But if your unable to maintain your once youthful appearance modern medicine has not forsaken you.

No sir plastic surgeons are standing by as the fountain of youth :) Pick up the phone now and make your appointment today, operators are standing by mate.

?

And that's the problem bc many of those in the lay public who can afford GH are also involved in a number of other youthful practices from face lifts to mud wraps.

Besides that show me an objective baseline for comparison since almost all studies I've seen use a VISUAL analog scale, which like beauty the results lie in the eye of the beholder.
