Does anyone have a device to heat their food inside of their vehicle? If so, WHAT?

Ok, no more fucking bullshit, I’m putting something in my vehicle to heat food! I’m on the go a lot and it’s time to stop making excuses and stick to my diet food no matter what! Yea, I’ve eaten it cold before in the past but it’s shitty enough after awhile so I’d rather make it more appealing by heating it up.

I thought about a d/c to a/c converter and power inverter to the battery, run the wire to a fuse and under my trim to a microwave installed in the back, but this may be too involved (yes, I realize newer vehicles have an a/c plug but unfortunately I don’t have one.

Then I just thought about keeping my camp stove in the back with some of those collapsible pots ppl use for camping. Seems easy enough and I already have the stove and a few tiny propane cylinders, opening my hatch and just cooking in a parking lot or rest area would be no issue, I’ll just pick up some collapsable pots and let it ride. No more excuses, I’ll cook in my damn Jeep if that’s what it takes! Anyone have any hacks or input on cooking in the vehicle? (Obviously I can bring cold, prepped food with me, it’s really reheating I’m referring to, not “cooking”

Hard sided lunch pail, theyre black and have just the single latch in front like a tackle box. My father in law used one for 27yrs as a trucker and I have used em for the same or similar, throw your food in tin foil and clan up is easy as hell. The only thing above poster put w the multiple latches is potential fialures my father in law said bc he had one that just didnt hold up to life on the rd 7-10days. The ones on amazon or at truck stops all have diff names but you find it by looking em up, just search cigarette lighter heated lun h box or some shit theyre l I ke 39$

For over a decade I’ve kept a heating bag with an inverter in both my trucks to heat my food. Takes about an hour to thoroughly heat most meals.

The timing doesn’t bother me at all cause I’ll be driving anyways, I’m perfectly fine with an hour wait, as long as the bitch heats up the food then I’m all good! Thanks to everyone for your responses, I’m exited abt my food warmer for the car!!

Tbf, I also have always preferred room temp food so mines barely been used. But keep the wheels rolling man and hit it hard

Funny enough,I was on the road today with my son and stopped off at a truck stop to get gas and piss, and low and behold I found this $35 gem!! Praise Jesus, my prayers have been answered!!!

Yesp thats the one FIL had and same as mine from Amazon. He used em for like 7yrs 7 on 7 off, shitll.last. i learned that tinfoil trick from him

I see you found what you’re looking for but as a back up every truck stop has microwaves around the coffee section. As a traveling meathead I’ve gone in and used them for years heating up meals without issue.

Great idea! I didn’t even think of that, my mind was stuck on gas stations for some reason, since there are more of those than what’s considered an actual truck stop. Yea, truck stops are probably used to ppl doing that anyways so no big deal rt? Thanks!

I’ve only had to heat up food in my vehicle when i was over the road truck driving. I had a inverter wired up and had a small crock pot hooked up to it. If you have a big enough inverter you can power a small microwave. I never had a microwave though.

Also another option is gas stations. I like QT more but all circle k and QT allow you to use microwaves. You’ll see a bunch construction workers ect heating up food around lunch time

I put a microwave in my city truck a few years ago. Asked for an inexpensive microwave for Christmas from my wife. I was so excited. Took pictures of it with my meals inside, talked about all the gains I was gonna get, then posted all these photos to my socials. The second I hit enter on the time, blew a fuse in the truck. Couldn’t even start the truck after that, until I replaced the fuse. Lol. I was bummed. So I took it back!!!

Just buy a warmer on Amazon. They have all different sizes and you just plug it into the cigarette lighter.
