Diet Advice For A Tight Budget

Just curious jast, what else do you put in the tuna/mackerel? I've been using mustard with my tuna. Mayo is definitely out, and I am getting pretty burnt out on the mustard.
hot salsa dip, believe me dont knock it until youve tried it, plus its fat free

Buy the value pak of chicken breasts with the skin on. Much cheaper than buying already skinned. take home and pull the skin off yourself. I then use a meat cleaver to cut out the rib bones.

I am assuming you have access to a kitchen/stove/refrigeration.

if your still looking for a tight budget that packs nutrition, then you need to look at big quantities that last for a while as in

Oats
There cheap, they last, they come in huge quantities, they have lots of good carbs and cals

Peanut butter
Comes in a tub/jar, contains 95 cals per tablespoon, has healthy fats

Olive oil
Comes in a big bottle and has up to 135 cals per tablespoon

Milk
Matter of opinion, I dont drink it anymore for personal reasons, has a reaosnable amount of nutrition init though but goes out of date quickly.

Eggs
High cals and healthy fats, can be expensive I find though but essential in any diet IMO

Also the first 3 have very durable long life sell by dates aswell so you dont have to be in any rush to fininsh them all to quickly.

This is great info you guys, thanks for sharing. Now I have a host of ideas for meal plans.

btw, I put salsa sauce on just about everything, lol. I'm glad I don't have to give that up.

I love oatmeal, but I'll have to quit the Quaker Instant Oats and cook it instead.

Love the tupperware idea for meal planning - that takes care of the time-factor in meal prep.

All in all, these suggestions are great and extremely helpful, thnx!
