all currency’s are down over 30% I wonder if this is the end of crypto. Seems the bubble has bursted but I wonder if it will ever recover. Interesting to see how sources handle this plummet of value.

Now would be the time to buy more. it will go back up. one of my good friends works in this industry directly. he keeps me in the loop of everything happening. He texted me this morning and told me to buy more. it for sure isnt "the end" of cyrpto by ANY means

This is the largest it’s dropped in over s year. Does your friend know what cause this drop across all currency’s

I have no idea where crypto currencies are going in the long run but this drop was very predictable to nearly anyone who knows anything about the markets.

No matter how good any stock or investment is over the long haul they don't run up indefinitely without making corrections. Bitcoin was up nearly 20 fold for the year. Other crypto currencies had similar runs.

When there are massive gains like this there is going to be some profit taking from early investors which leads to dips such as what is happening currently.

@Avablanch892

He said he isnt really sure. He is going to ask his partner. He isnt really good with market predictions, he more so just writes code.

but i suspect its something like @Masters Power said. a dip is inevitable, especially with what bitcoin has done this year.

All I know is the exchanges are literally blinking like Christmas lights with the up and downs, green and reds color changes. Crazy volatility make exchanges blink like Christmas lights!!

Fair enough I’m in for the long run but hoping I at least get my initial investment back. I wonder if a law was passed that made this crash overnight.

I got off the phone with Coinbase yesterday ..I was having problems setting up a bank.. and I questioned how come it’s dropping.. he just gave me a best around the bush answer.. it’s market driven like stock market is.. but I asked did the South Korean company that went bankrupt had anything to do with it.. the company lost majority of shares because of hackers

Just a heads up, that's insider trading and is considered fraud.

As far as the huge loss goes, now is the perfect time to buy in. You may have to sit on your BTC for a bit, but the price will certainly go up. Especially as it becomes a more accepted form of online currency.

Eventually, I see major retailers accepting it from people shopping online.
