cottage cheese actually tastes good

holy shit, I've always read about fat free cottage being an excellant source of protein, but every time I looked at it I chickened out. so after getting bored with the same old foods I said what the fuck, bought a tub and added some fresh pineapple, and found that I actually enjoy the flavor. It's now my new late night snack

I've always been hesitant to try cottage cheese for the same reason as Lyle. Just looks like frumunda cheese.

I buy it with the pineapple already added. It is great and high in protein. I does have some sugars and in turn carbs.
 
cotaage cheese shakes

i make cottage cheese shakes out of low fat cottage chees i put it in a blender along with some chocolate or strawberry syrup maybe a few scoops of protein powder and a little nonfat milk along with any other goodies you may want to add but i promise you guys try these shakes for a few weeks and youll put on weight like no joke . try it sometimes.
 
nero with all respect bro, your cottage cheese shake sounds down right vile! i'll do the fat free cottage cheese on top of a salad w/ chicken. adds weight to the meal, fills you up. doesn't taste all that bad.
 
Have you tried to date women with cottage cheese thighs to see if you enjoyed their flavor?

Cottage cheese is awesome..I just can't stand the taste...so I mix it with protein in a shake and you can't taste it at all. Also throw in some uncooked oatmeal in the mornings.
Cottage cheese is VERY(almost non-existant) in carbs
Slow digesting protein-great before bed
LOADED with glutamine
 
Try.....

Different brands..they all have a different taste and texture. There's a brand at Sam's (big ass container...very cheap) that is very smooth (not chalky) and somewhat salty that when you add peaches or pineapple...or like me...apple sauce...is awesome. Like what was said before...high in glutamine...great between meal snack.

actually that doesn't sound so bad..

Crew you want to hear something vile? can of tuna with a can of pepsi in a blender or tuna with three cups of OJ.. ever hear of that? i have, but yet to try it.. hehe..
 
take lowfat cottage cheese add some ranch dressing/dip powder, toss into a blender and whammo u got some mean veggie dip or mayo substitute.

Actually I have been drinking Tuna shakes for years. Originally I was just tossing a can and water in the blender and chugging....nasty shit.....Now that I am older and can afford the finer things its 2 cans of tuna, 1 1/2 cups low sodium tomato juice, 1/2 cup V8, splash of lemon.....can't even taste the tuna........Oh yeah...gotta blend it well for a minute. 80 grams of protein for a little over a dollar.

Note: I do not use the fancy albacore but the cheaper mystery tuna (or whatever it is) 50 cents a can. Good deal when you are trying to maximize protein intake on a budget.
