Correlation between High IGF and High PSA?

Decided to have my father (58) get some blood work and work on his diet. One thing in the bloodwork that popped up was high High IGF 204 and High PSA 6.2 , He has had a prostate biopsy over a year ago and it came back negative for anything, but after this new blood test his psa went up and so did the igf. He is going in today to get another biopsy. His urologist doesnt even know what IGF is. From what i understand i tend to believe there must be some connection between the two IGF and PSA being high. Any thought?

No knowledge to offer except that drawing a conclusion like that off one data point is a bit of a jump...

HGH is not offered to patients with a high PSA. HGH raises IGF, IGF causing things to grow in the body. What jump are you speaking of? I know its related I’m trying to find out if theres anyone with similar issues, possibly regarding high igf levels in a 58 year old, and any connection between igf and psa that im not aware of.

What causes abnormal igf levels in a 58 year old? Could a high igf be the cause of a growing prostate ?
