The factcheck.COM website is owned by George Soros. I believe that CHeney misspoke and meant to say factcheck.ORG.
One thing that annoys me about people, mainly liberals, is there contention that Cheney (and Bush) are raking in the cash by having Halliburton do the rebuilding in Iraq. Sometimes I wish people would get a clue and see what the truth is in this matter.

Yeh i knew what DICK meant when he said it...read the CNN article on the people who re-directed it to Soros..Soros claims to have not known about this though until the re-direct was done.
Isn't it ironic though that Bill Clinton gave Halliburton a no-bid contract in the Balkans????

You're exactly right. Clinton did the same thing with Halliburton, but somehow Chaney must be making millions off of this deal. And it's true that only Halliburton was capable of this job. The Dems know this, but lying never has bothered them. In fact, it is ingrained in their DNA (see Clinton, Gore, Kerry, any Kennedy, etc.).Kayz said:

1) Lincoln freed the slaves...he was a Republican.
2) In 1960, JFK acted to have MLK released from a southern jail and Nixon did not respond......JFK won the election as a result of getting 70% of the black vote.
3) It was Georgia governor Lester Maddox who brandished ax handles to prevent blacks from eating at his restaurant......he was a democrat.
4) It was Alabama governor Wallace who fought to segregate the schools....he was a democrat
5) It was Eisenhower who sent in federal troops to prevent violence in the south and enforce the court order of school desegregation...he was a Republican.
6) It was Nixon who instituted the first affirmative action program, which is arguably the single most important piece of legislation designed to help blacks in this country....he was a Republican.
7) It was Attorney General Robert Kennedy who authorized J. Edgar Hoover to wiretap MLK's phones....he was a democrat.
8) Under Reagan, black unemployment for males fell faster than unemployment for white males of the same age group.
9) Reagan increased social spending, which helped millions of black families.
10)And under GWB, black home ownership is at an all time high!!!
My point is that the democrats have continually run on a platform of "..you have been deprived, so we are gonna take care of you and give you everythng you need..." That is why they have to keep the uneducated and the poor uneducated and poor.....so they will "need" democrats.
