Canadian beer in USA?

hey guys, i have to move to california in august, but I just got this sudden fear, see, we canadians, especially nova scotians love our beer, but I've heard all american beer is weak, like 4%, and that lite beer is even weaker, is this true! I definately cant drink beer unless its at leat 5% cuz i wont even get a buzz otherwise. Can you guys get canadian beer there?

i'd quite drinking if i had to drink canadian beer but yeah you can get it down here, i had a beer that was 8% the other day - its all about micro brews down here my canadian brother..

good to know, you really don't like canadian beer? well, like anything its in the name, I can't stand molsen canadian but love labatt. I guess I will start drinkingthat new miller lite with the low carb/cal, sounds good except i drink at least 12 beer on a party night.

my ex GF was from canada and when i use to visit they would drink Labatt - thats the first beer i thougt of when you menstioned canadian beer.. Wasn't a fan - i like micro brew's mostly but i will drink some bud or budlights every now and then..

What ever you do don't buy the Michelob (sp) low carb crap it taste like really really bad water i drank a sixpack one night and didn't even have anything close to a buzz and i had a bad taste in my mouth..

Ive not drunk a beer since new years eve and im gona try to quit but my beer of choice was Heineken and if you ever get a chance and wana try a new beer try Blackend Voodoo straight out of New Orleans. Talk about a buzz good gawd.

Whats kind of funny is that most Canadian beer has LESS alchohol than American beer! LMAO!! Poor suckers up north. They all claim 8 or 10% alc, but most are about the same as American beers at 3 or 4%.

That's just plain untrue. Why don't you read the nutrition facts on the back of the bottle. If I remember right, there's 115-130 cals/beer. It's barely higher than a light beer. Don't fall for wive's tales, my friend.
