Cacao?

Anyone use cacao or cocoa? I love this stuff, I'll heap like... I dunno, a half oz or something into a glass and thoroughly enjoy it, zero sweeteners added. Dutched cocoa obviously is less bitter, but raw cacao is delicious too and I think more psychoactive.

It's a great pre-work out, it has caffeine but less than coffee and has theobromine which feels much cleaner and less of a coffee crash.

I've got some ceremonial cacao coming (just cacao liquor/paste but ideally free of heavy metals and just high quality), I imagine that might taste better with the cacao butter still in it. Maybe higher calorie I would imagine, but more psychoactive too.

I've heard this stuff is good for lipids, cholesterol, and blood pressure? I wonder if there's any negatives to this stuff or would it be good for daily usage

I add it to my protein drinks for all the nutrition it has in it. I get the non-alkalized knd. I avoid the Dutch processed as the alkaline they use destroys much of the nutrition.

Yeah but how much are you adding? Cocoa or cacao?

I'm not just drinking a tablespoon of this, I'm like heaping a lot
About a heaping tablespoon for 2 protein drinks. Cacao is processed the least so i go with that as there in more nutrition it per the same serving size. How much you like the flavor will play a part. The body will likely not digest and absorb all the nutrition if a lot is taken in at one time. As there is a threshold for most things. More past a certain point leads to diminishing returns in my experience. If i want max nutrition from something i take in smaller amounts through out the day. Do what you think is best as that is what we all do.
