BRD wallet mining fees ?

What’s up fellas so I’m noticing on my BRD wallet the fees are substantial higher. For instance if I want to send $17 the mining fee is about $6. I remember when it was about $2-3 last week. Is it just BRD wallet that’s doing this or what’s going on?

Thinking I might have to switch over to litecoin.

I’ve run into this lately myself. I cancelled the transaction when they disclosed the fees and resubmitted. It went through that time with a lesser amount of mining fees. I think the mining fees must be set by the miner you randomly end up with and not by the wallet.

I tried this and the damn thing went higher lol! Well I talked to BRD customer support and they explained the more congested the network is the higher the fees will be. Seems like il slowly be making the switch to LTC. The fees are in the cents compared to $8 or $20 vs bitcoin. This happened last year I believe then BTC took a nose dive. After the nose dive the fees were much cheaper.
