“Best” Time to Measure Bloods During Cycle?

Hello everybody,

I’ve just hopped on a testosterone-only blast earlier this week, and this will be my second blast ever. I plan to do the typical 500mg Test E 20-week cycle. I’ve done this cycle before, but I was a lot more irresponsible back then and threw in dbol and never got my bloods measured on or off cycle. I want to do it right this time.

Question: Exactly when should I get my mid-and post-cycle bloods done? I plan to cruise afterwards. I have already measured my baseline.

Thanks a lot in advance, sorry if this question is redundant, I’m still learning to navigate through this forum.

Fasted in the morning with 60oz of water in you and ~48hrs after your last pin.
Thanks for your response.

My fault, I think my discussion title is misleading. In a typical 20 week cycle, which weeks would you say that I should get my routine bloods done?

I’ve been told various and very different answers to my newbie question and I’m trying to figure this out

Let everything saturate before you pull bloods. Depends on the compounds but 6 weeks is usually good.

I check mine every 5-6 weeks after changing anything. Example, you're new to gear, you want to do a 20 weeks blast and have no idea how much test you can handle or how much estrogen will be converted. You start at 250mg/week, check blood in 5 weeks, make adjustments, and add another 250mg/week. By the end you should be at 1 gram of test and have an idea of how your body reacts and handles test. Do this with any compound you are thinking about trying and you will have the data to make smart choices in the future.

I personally get a basic panel every month, whether on or off cycle. CMP, CBC, E2, and Lipid. It's definitely not necessary, but it's like $25 so why not. It allows you to check trends better as well; so much can go to shit in 3 months and you'll have no clue when or why it happened.

Noted, I’ll follow that rule of thumb moving forwards. Change, wait 5-6 weeks, bloods. Got it. I really appreciate your detailed response. Thank you!

For $25 bucks that’s pretty affordable. Where do you get your bloods done at?

At Labcorp, through fitomics. It's subscription based, so it's an additional $25/month with a 3 month contract, or you can buy 6 months of labs in advance and cancel it for $30.

Checking to see the level of hormones at 6 weeks seems good. If you want to see how much damage may be going on during the cycle then the later in the cycle the more accurate or readings you will get. To get an idea of what to do next time.

Sounds good. Will definitely get one at ~6 weeks as mentioned by you and other members who’ve responded, and will consider additional tests especially should any symptoms arise. Thanks!
