Last time I purchased I used cash app. Now I'm reading you can no longer use that as they block it and shut your account down? If true what is the best option to send money?

Use cashapp or whatever wallet to purchase the BTC. Send to another anonymous wallet (i know they’re not truly anonymous as everything can be traced) and then to source.

Does it truly matter to do this? Or does it make a difference if I send directly from cash app? I’m new to this whole bitcoin process

Can it still be traced? Sure. Does it help? Sure. You don’t want your main btc address listed as sending to a known source do you? It’s easy af to send to the “anonymous” blockchain and then send to the source.
