Are BCAAs good for a cut?

I would imagine stimulating muscle protein synthesis with BCAAs while in calorie restriction would be good for retaining muscle on a cut and maybe even burning fat. So, two guys who are twins with the same stats and program have the same calorie deficit/macro spread - one guy drinks BCAAs throughout the day and the other doesn’t. Is there a difference in their results?

This is my whole thinking with BCAAs....

If you are eating enough protein you should have all essential amino acids available. When you take BCAAs they are the MPs switch. EAAs are better for someone who doesn’t get enough protein in. BCAAs are for someone who gets plenty of protein. LETS GET THIS MONEY SON!!!

Literally just ordered some from Amazon. I like something to mix with half gallons of water to be honest. Kinda veering off topic but I saw those premade carb mixes (that are like $50), isn't it just maltodextrin?

It depends but maltodextrin and glucose polymers are usually in those

The main thing in my opinion is BCAAs are cheaper. If you are getting enough protein then get BCAAs.

Also, make sure they are derived from enzymatic fermentation (vegan) and not chemical extraction (human hair and duck feathers).

The fermentation process from vegan raw materials, typically corn, produces a much better amino acid product. Less bloating as well. Make sure to check before you buy!

Now do you really think you can feel or see a physical difference by consuming one over the other? Let this thread die!

NO, providing they both have sufficient DIETARY protein intake.

BCAAS as a sole supplement is a nice
sales gimmick.

Save your money and buy a reasonable protein supplement w “added BCAA”, (Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey) or if you prefer to defer all the hype just buy MEAT such chicken, fish, steak since ALL contain plenty BCAA

I noticed a difference when taking them and it’s worth the money to me. I buy them direct from the manufacturer in China. Get the fermented BCAAs at less than $0.50 per 10 grams at a 2:1:1 ratio. I add crystal light packets and love it.

A Chinese manufacturer of BCAAs
and the price makes perfect sense.

Ya get what ya pay for and sometimes MUCH less.

Can U post a PIC of the product label?

I like food, I don't even use whey lol.

I do believe folk can benefit from the use of protein supplements which are generally are easy to prepare, reasonably palatable and a healthy means of enhancing dietary protein wo all the added FAT and sugar that’s a part of any high caloric diet.

Nonetheless I doubt the addition of extras such as BCAAs, hydrolyzed etc is much more than a sales gimmick.

these days i find that bcaas help most when i feel a cold coming and it somehow helps me recover and feel better

EAA are superior. Especially while dieting imo

I like them a lot. NowSports EEA’s (Essential 9)pure powder(no fillers) pre workout. I use BCAAS + carbs during training. Whey isolate has a lot of BCAA’s and glutamine anyhow,
for post workout. BTW- I only use protein powder, creatine, and EEA’s/Bcaas. They all help. If I could only afford 2 supplements, it would be whey and creatine.
