Who has terribly bad anxiety? What medications do you take?
I get drug tested so i cant take benzos or else i would.
Gabapentin did help but in order for it to work have to take it 4-5 times a day. Which i would like to take something 1x a day.
Anyone have any insight?
Chronic anxiety is usually down to biology and not psychology. So I would look into different territories if something is missing, deficient, etc. For instance, what helped me a shit tone was taurine. Turns out, I was deficient, or something idk. But 3g of taurine feels almost the same as 300mg of gabapentin, go figure.
So, common things to try are:
- NMDA modulation via magnesium glycine or maybe memantine
- Taurine for upregulation of glutamine to gaba transformation and taurine by it self also acts at gaba a receptor
- Serotonin HT1A partial agonists like CBD or Buspirone
- SSRI's for long term treatment of serotonin based anxiety which is also kinda HT1a dependent, but also HT2c and HPA overactivation
- Fixing a dysregulated HPA axis with adaptogens; rhodiola rosea, tribulus terestis, ashwagandha, etc ...
Seeing as you are on a huge ass cycle bro, your anxiety is for sure upregulated from that. That is imo not even a question. Are you anxiety prone otherwise? Off cycle?
