Anabolic Rebound without gear

So say you have been dieting without gear just to lose some bodyfat, not trying to get shredded but lean enough to see some abs like 12-15% bodyfat, dieting from 20 bodyat. When you bring your calories back up will you get that same type of anabolic rebound like you would if you got shredded to do a contest?

After a cut you should have great insulin resistance, a body hungry (pun intended) to use calories, and the mental aspect of getting out of a cut. So, I’d imagine even without drugs your body is in a great place to gain.

Calling it an "anabolic rebound" is a bit disingenuous. But yes. Even as a natural, you'll typically see a good food response post diet.

Depends, if you’ve used gear before then don’t expect anything miraculous, but if not then it’ll be more obvious

I've used gear before so the rebound affect was prominent on gear, gained fat in the process but not like I would if I was natural. I've tried upping my calories after a cut without gear and I got fat as shit, but I was also binge eating bad, didnt really get the strength gains I thought I would, strength gains started to come back on week 5-6. This time I am trying to about a more controlled approach like lean bulking, but I'm also trying to figure out how much muscle/fat I would gain doing if I went straight to lean bulking.

The biggest thing is determining your new maintenance calorie intake, based on lower weight from cut and current activity levels. Getting that figured out and dialed in will really help on a lean bulk.
