3rd shift eating

I typically work 9pm to 7am,-5-6 days a week.If I'm lucky the most time I take for lunch break is a 30 minute and a 15 minute. For the past 2 years my routine of mixing up a big gallon size jug of weight gainer and protein has worked great. It comes to around 1,500 calories and I drank it as I worked. The last 2 months I have been losing weight while doing this.Could it be the increase in hours, stress and physical activity?I would love to bring some soild food and eat as I work but my choices are limited.I can bring in a big plate of 2 chicken breasta, yams and aspargus and munch out.I need something small, calorie dense and packed with carbs and protein.Any ideas for a quick meal? Thanks.

Bump for replies?

Is it a very physical job. I did 3rd shift for 4 long years, I found it hard to gain weight during that period but I have to blame my diet and lack of sleep for that. I was lucky if I could get 4 hours of sleep a day.

Once I got off of third shift, I gained 20 lbs in a month and a half and lost that pale dracula look..lol

eat lots of pasta bowties and twisties in alfredo sauce, with chicken, or lots of extra lean or lean ground beef. Make sure at least on your workout days if your trying to regain mass, to eat a large well rounded meal before bed. Full of meat and vegetables like broccoli, fibrous green beans or turnip greens. Your body has to go many hours without a meal during sleep time and build muscle. This is one of the most important meals. So pack alot of nutrients in there before sleep time. I even take vitamins before sleep time.
During the work day have those pasta meals broke in seperate tupperware containers and knock'em out. Try and drink a lil' milk during the day, bones will grow and strengthen for more muscle with plenty calcium and exercise.

eat,eat,eat and lift them weights.
