New member with a few questions

How's everyone doing? I'm new here. I've been lurking for a little while and doing some research. Decided it was time to start posting and getting to know everyone. Hopefully in a few months(or possibly more) I'll be able to get my workout routine and diet down. Once I have that all taken care of I'm hoping to take my first cycle.

Little bit about myself. I'm an ex-baseball player(pitcher). I am 6'4 220 at the moment. I'm around 12% bf as well. I've been golfing quite a bit since I stopped playing baseball and really enjoy hitting the long drives. Maybe one day I'll try to compete in a long drive contest. Anyone else do this?

Almost forgot. I am a computer science major who isn't doing much with my education. I thought I would ask if anyone has a need for an app that would track the user's workout(with their input) that would be posted online for public or private viewing. I thought maybe with statistics shown visually and inputed easily this could help show where one is regressing and progressing. I realize there are workout apps but I'd like to hear what input you guys had to make a better one.

I'm posting here because I'll have a few questions about my first cycle i'll eventually take.

where can i get steriods? just kidding.

In your opinion what would the best cycle be if I wanted to gain a lean 20 lbs. I realize that pct is a must to keep the gains and for overall health. On top of the best cycle for a newbie what pct would u recommend with my stats?

There are many avenues that could help you reach this goal.

1. The most widely recommended cycle for people who have never done a cycle before is a long-acting ester of Testosterone (either Cypionate or Enanthate), 500mg/week for 8-10 weeks.

This is a great first cycle for a lot of reasons. It only employs one substance, so you don't have to worry about aquiring, calculating dosages, and taking a lot of different things. You only have to inject a couple times a week. Side effects should be minimal. And since you've never done a cycle before, you have plenty of room for growth.

The down side is that it can take as long as 3 weeks for the steroid to "kick in" such that you begin seeing and feeling the gains.

2. Some people actually recommend a 6-week Dianabol-only cycle (50mg/day) as your very first cycle. It's oral, so there are no injections at all. 6 weeks is relatively short, so it should be easy to do. And Dianabol "kicks in" really quickly; almost immediately.

The down side is that Dianabol is hepato-toxic. So, if you already have a strained liver (from alcohol, medications, hepatitis, or some other reason), this might not be the right choice for you. And to be safe, it is not recommended that anybody take Dianabol for more than 6 weeks. After that, they should take a break of a couple of months.

thanks a lot Fulano and GetSome. I will check out that link and get back to u guys with any questions I have. I personally think I'd rather inject than take orally because of the liver side affects. Granted I've never done it before, but needles do not scare me. Then again I've never done it to myself. Maybe that's a whole another ballgame. Thoughts?

Lol. Yes, it is a different ballgame, lol. I remember my first pin, and I must have dodged the needle at least 4 or 5 times before I succeeded. I would start to get the needle close, and then I would move my ass away from it, lol. Finally I just braced my hip against the sink so I couldn't move away from it, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and painless it was. Always be sure to draw with one needle, then swap it out for a virgin needle. Even just one push through the rubber stopper with dull the shit outta the needle tip. Your first time will be a little scary, but after that, it quickly becomes addicting. :D

The link Get Some posted describes a cycle that combines 10 weeks of a long-ester Testosterone with 4 weeks of Dianabol.

The 4 weeks of Dianabol are so that you begin seeing results right away and don't waste 3-4 weeks at the beginning. It is during the first few weeks that long-ester Testosterone doesn't really kick in or start to have an effect, but Dianabol kicks in almost immediately.

So, you take the two of them together to start out, and then you quit taking the Dianabol once the Testosterone is really having a solid effect.

If your liver is healthy, 4 weeks of Dianabol isn't going to hurt you.

Besides, the liver is capable of completely regenerating (unlike other organs and tissues in the body). You quit taking the oral steroid, and after a couple of months (assuming you don't have some other liver condition and you're not stressing your liver heavily in some other way) your liver will be 100% recovered and it is as if you hadn't done anything. If you limit your use to a few weeks and allow the liver to recover between cycles, the stress on your liver from steroids is not cumulative.

With regard to injections, I personally have two very different viewpoints. 1) I have no probem receiving injections. I could do it a couple times a day if necessary. 2) I'm kind of a wuss when it comes to giving myself injections, though. I can do it, but I'd rather not.

So, for me it is much easier if I have someone else give me my injections. And I have just such a person in my life. So, problem solved.

The liver heals much quicker than that fulano. It takes only a couple weeks of discontinued use to see liver values back at baseline. But your point is the same as mine, 4 weeks of dbol is very very mild on the liver, provided you don't drink, take aspirin, or have a preexisting medical condition.

It seems I am a bit more cautious about the liver than most people. I do not assume that normal liver values mean that the liver has completely recovered, such that stress from repeated cycles is not cumulative. I suspect that there is a difference between producing normal lab values and having recuperated completely. So, I like to err on the side of caution.

Hey guys what do you think about this cycle. I kinda figured before I even attempted steroids I thought taking PH's would be a good stepping stone.

attached is an image of the projected cycle. Please critique. Any criticism is welcome. Thanks.

Also, maybe I'm wrong but I figured it's gonna be awhile before I even figure out how to obtain gear so in the meantime I'd like to prepare for it.

I've never had health problems in the past so I'm pretty positive I have a healthy liver. How much would a stacked cycle of these two cost, assuming it's not overly priced?

What do you suggest I do in the meantime? Because I figured it's going to be awhile before I even find a supplier and get my diet/workout down. When you say prepare are you talking about my diet/workout?

Meh.

I would prepare for and do the cycle Get Some linked to. It is a great first cycle.

The way I figure, normal liver values just means that it is at least moving in the right direction. If you cycle wisely, you should have months off anyway before your next cycle, so it's a moot point. I was just trying to clarify that the liver is remarkably efficient at recovering health and filtering our blood normally again.

Yes, dial in your diet/workout, and learn more about what you are planning to do. Continue to research, not so you change your mind or want to do some grandiose cycle, but so that you can be as prepared as possible for side effects, maximizing benefits, etc.

When I say "prepare" I mean.

1) Get your diet DOWN PAT. I'm not talking about getting it down on paper. I'm talking about making it your lifestyle, and that takes a lot more dedication and work.

2) Get your workout DOWN PAT. i'm not talking about getting it down on paper. I'm talking about making it your lifestyle, and that takes a lot more dedication and work.

3) Research everything you can about steroids, their effect on the body, and cycles. Specifically, research everything to do with the cycle Get Some linked to.

4) Research Post Cycle Therapy (PCT).

5) Obtain your hCG and the drugs for your PCT. It is easy to obtain the steroids you want and then start taking them and say to yourself, "I'll get the drugs for the PCT while I'm doing my cycle, and they'll be here when I need them." Then your cycle ends and you still haven't obtained your PCT drugs and it's too late.

6) Obtain the steroids you'll need.

Dianabol is cheap. There are pharmaceutical grade Dianabol products that are available in pill form, and raw methandrostenolone powder is also relatively easily obtained. People get this powder and then use it to make their own capsules of varying dosages.

Since long-ester Testosterone is used to treat a variety of medical conditions, pharmaceutical grade Testosterone Cypionate and Enanthate are also readily available and reasonably inexpensive.

So, you'll need a couple of bottles of Dianabol and a couple bottles of Testosterone. (I know that's not precise, but you can do the math yourself based on your research of the cycle Get Some linked for you.) I'm guessing that will cost you in the range of $350-$450.

this may be a tough question to answer as well since it varies by person to person but in general how much does your food budget go up when your on gear? From what I've read I need to keep the shakes to a minimum and not rely on my protein/cal intake to be mainly liquid. Whole foods is where it's at. Would 4 shakes a day be too much?
