WWB issue $1400 loss

Hey just wanted to upload this conversation as it's an immediate loss for me and even a little bit of customer service could have easily avoided it.

For background I've ordered from a few different vendors already and never had any customer service problems like this.

I submit a very large order around $1400USD, right off the bat they took my money without telling me that they don't even have the product I wanted in stock, as they already have my money I negotiated a change to a product I really didn't want but I figured I would just be chill about it and not give them a hard time.

Right after the funds were taken (3 hours later) I realized the address I provided could no longer be used and I asked to change the address, but they just started to ghost me until Monday.

In the end they sent me the USPS tracking meaning it's going to the wrong location and is a complete loss at that point. And they have gone ghost again.

Curious what y'all think, in my head this really doesn't seem like my fault, I don't know of any other reps that just ignore you as soon as the order is sent to them.

I find it funny how they are blaming me saying I requested a change days later and telling me I can't complain lol

Address is on you. You were messaging them middle of the might china, right before they leave for the weekend.
They sorted the OOS.
Cant fault them when you fuck up, your ordering illegal drugs… your entire order should be triple checked before you ever even contact them

Understood, thanks for the input

Packs can be amended or recalled, see what they can do about it. Not a total loss yet.

This sucks, and it’s terrible customer service, but they can legitimately say they did their part and placed the order.

No one promised you can make an address change even 5 minutes after placing the order, though I completely empathize with you.

I always triple check all details, make the order as simple as possible (usually ONE product at a time), with as few words as possible to avoid any room for misunderstandings.

Completely agree with Ghoul, bad customer service, they could have easily changed the address, but you can't blame them at all considering they have hundreds of messages to go through each day so your order should have been perfect from the get go, especially since it's "such a big order" for you. By the way stop ordering to a PO box, it's not better OPSEC as you think.

You can't redirect the package to their warehouse? Or change the address? Or call the courier in the day of delivery and wait for him at that address to receive the package?
Or anything at all?

I can do everything I listed above if there is a problem with a package. Some problems appears with regular package not with not so legal package.

I suppose it's up to them if they are willing change it, unfortunately I can't wait outside for the package because I'm nowhere near the delivery location, personally I would assume given the nature of what it is they are selling that they would expect some hiccups and a quick change of address, like I told them it's not as if I contacted them days later . Just my opinion on the situation. Especially considering they give a 12 hour window to pay meaning they are in fact taking messages over the weekend they just decided to ignore mine.

Take a day or two off from work and go there. I think isn't 2000km away from where you are and you aren't paid with 1,4k/day at your job.
Or give 50$ and a pay for the gas to that address to a close friend and tell him to go there and wait for that package. Still a better option than lose that 1,4k.
That's what I would do or at least try to receive that package in one way or another.

I have a story when I faked a invoice to get a package from China with raws from customs office as they wanted to see how much it was the value to tax me. I was young, stupid and underage then. Now I wouldn't do that but it worked. Guys just wanted to tax me like 5$ for that and let me go.

I just realized if he has tracking # he could start hammering the carrier about how to redirect pack. I think if it’s USPS he can do it without involving shipper.

You can do that with the courier app. Or call them and tell the name what is written on the package and the tracking number and tell them to send to other address and you can say a random credible reason if there is another city. Like I have a wedding, a funeral, a surgery or something

Looks like OP wants an address change from USA to Canada, I doubt the carriers change of address process includes shipping it to an entirely different country.

Looks like you're right.
A country change is definitely different from an address change. Even the shipping route isn't the same.

Isn't there a service that can receive a package from the US and send it to Canada?

I know that there are these kinds of services in Europe. They can receive a package from one country and send it to you in another country. For example, they can receive a package from China or the UK in Germany and send it to Spain. I don't remember what it's called, as I need to find that word that I don't regularly use in a foreign language at a late hour.

I will try to remember and find how it's called

Plenty.
But they'll inspect the packs.
You're shipping illegal products, it's not the same.

"International Parcel Forwarding Services" e.g forward2me

Although these require you to send the package to them originally and then they remail it, so you start by sending it to the mailing address they specify.

Most of the parcel forwarding services will destroy anything they think is illegal it seems.

What’s wrong with PO Boxes and why not use them?
