Save your unusable raws Guaranteed.

@janoshik

if theres solvents left after doing recrystallization on raws and sending them to you

do you reckon gcms or hplc will pick it up? i remember ive seen you put it in the comments even in hplc before but would be better for you to clarify so we know what testing to go ahead and do? especially since the solvents are pretty different from normal steroid molecule it should be pretty easy to pick up

thank you for time.

Ah yes, the good old residual solvents methods I was shit on repeatedly for bringing up. Funny how we are coming full circle.

You can search here.

Or

Jano doesn't have a method last time we discussed. Perhaps now there will be a driving force to develop one.
Sounds pretty stupid to shit on that idea. All the manufacturers have to recystalize the product at some point and im sure they are using harsh solvents. Sounds reasonable to me to test for it

readalot tries to help the community = gets hate

most other guys does stuff for ourselves including me = no hate

readalot has to realize fak the community and just chase his self intererests.

these redacted get mad at not understanding so its better to not engage in advanced topics with them
Gym bro, keyboard warriors are the demise of anything constructive...

Thanks for everything @readalot !

I actually won't be surprised if AASRaws is doing that now..
They delayed their shipments and sent it back to the factory for "reprocessing".

TLDR Acetone cant be detected

at my work they have full internal qc testing.

but im also doing a routine of checks.

one include something we can use for residual solvents called loss of drying.

just when you dry your raw under vacuum you just measure its weight before and after until it dosent change anymore. if the weight drop is less than 0.5% it suggests its g2g low residual solvents for, although not guranteed

Yep, Jano can do that. Demonstrated in prior project. Nice setup he has.

it also makes math easier

0.5% or 0.05ml per 100mg api. assuming atleast 90% of what visible solvents get removed. we can use around 4.5ml solvent per 100mg api. solvents removed is probably higher tho
