MESO-Rx Sponsor PCT 24X7 "1 stop shop for all day healthcare"

That’s really interesting - I’ll definitely need to read more about it.

I actually managed to drop in for a blood donation last night, and surprisingly, I woke up feeling light, clear-headed, and my resting heart rate dropped.

Feels great, honestly. EQ seems to be hitting me harder this time around for some reason!
I try to avoid donating blood but when I need to I feel the same way. You just feel better afterwards.

Why do you avoid it?
The MESO community and other AAS experts consider it a blunt hammer and poor tool. donating does dump your iron and ferritin. Plus on AAS you are producing RBC above normal, so it will return, if you don't modify other aspects of your stack/routine.....what did I miss?

The moral aspect of donating blood that is filled with steroids.

Why do you avoid it?
Mainly for the loss of iron/ferritin. Phlebotomies too often can lead to a never ending cycle of low iron. It takes me forever to get my levels back up even with high iron foods and supplements.

If I do the right things during my cycle I can usually avoid donating. But if I feel I need to dump some blood I’ll do it without hesitation.

Yessss....you are right...kinda a big deal. Isn't it also possibly true that if it was a contamination factor of significance, they would test for it? I think they do like 12 tests, e.g. dont trust donators on some of the questions. But to your point, if you say yes to steriods, the donation process is a full stop.

They test your blood, but not for steroids. For stuff like STD etc.
Please also do not donate if you are on accutane.

I am not a doctor, so don’t take my advice….take a doctors. This is just information I learned that may possibly be worth discussing @Ghoul im especially interested in your thoughts.

I have a friend who is a bad alcoholic (it’s not me, I used to be one though). He has extreme withdrawal at work to the point of occasional seizures, but due to his job…he could lose professional licensing if he smelled of alcohol or tested for benzodiazepines. He wants to quit drinking badly.

I consulted with a healthcare provider I know and advised her the situation and asked if I could receive a RX for him for something. She was unable to write a controlled substance prescription due to the circumstances I don’t want to go into. But she asked me what pharma drugs I had access to because she knows me, And knows I take steroids. I sent her pcts list and she consulted with another healthcare professional and they both agreed to 250mg robaxin E12HR to keep him out of withdrawal. I happen to have robaxin on hand bc I get occasional siatic pain that will not go away no matter which stretching technique I use.

I know this healthcare professional well and she’s very well educated so I trust her judgment. She writes many CDS prescriptions due to her field, She said robaxin affects gaba similar to alcohol so it will likely keep withdrawal down depending on the dosage and addiction rate in muscle relaxers ALONE, is low (per my friend).

My other friend has found this drug very valuable to his goal of sobriety and he doesn’t feel a “high” from it. He has been sober 7 days now and if you knew my friend, That’s a big deal! I’m super proud of him and I look forward to seeing what ghoul has to say on this subject, As I find him to be very well read and knowledgeable about pharmaceuticals.

I don’t think this old medication is some wonder drug. But I think it might be less in the harm reduction range than traditional benzodiazepines and my healthcare friends seem to agree.

Also I’m not out giving and prescribing drugs to people. I’m just making connections to people who i know well with those less fortunate than me with no healthcare access due to insurance or other reasons.

Happy Memorial Day my brothers in iron

First of all I think trying to help your friend using the resources you can bring to bear is noble, and regardless of how this ends up you're doing a good thing. Whether it's "ideal" or not is irrelevant. Addicts can only be helped when they seek it out, in ways they're willing to accept.

I'll just be blunt, and tell you what I'd do in this situation.

I know Robaxin btw. Used it for back pain, which I found very effective.

Anyway, from what I've read, it was thought useful for alcoholism at one time, but that's been almost certainly disproved at this point. Not a "maybe", more like a firm no.

The good news is that two drugs, both cheap and available from India pharma are proven effective with solid evidence. I don't know your friend's health condition, only that he has alcohol use disorder, so you need to check the precautions for both.

A 2023 meta-study looking at the results of over 20,000 alcoholics in treatment concluded:

"...these findings support the use of oral naltrexone, 50 mg/d, and acamprosate as first-line pharmacotherapies for alcohol use disorder."

But since I said I'd tell you what I'd do. which is pull out all the stops for my friend, I'd try getting him on Semaglutide. If he has a few pounds to lose, all the better.

I've written on MESO before about the very promising signals of GLPs as anti-addiction compounds. Every month more data comes out suggesting what many users and medical professionals have observed. A significant reduction in alcohol use among those on GLPs.

In small scale studies and reviews of patient data, it very much looks like alcohol consumption while on a GLP is reduced by around 65%. Personally I can't tolerate alcohol at all since starting GLPs years ago.

Numerous trials are ongoing, and based on what's been seen so far I have little doubt treatment for alcoholism will be an indication approved by the FDA within a year or two.

I follow a site called "Recursive Adaptation" that focuses on news about cutting edge addiction treatments, and GLPs have been center stage there for the last year.

Phase 3 clinical trials being completed would be great, but your friend needs an assist now. This could make a major difference to his ability to abstain.

I'd explain the two pills are proven effective and used in nearly every current alcohol treatment program, and that GLPs appear to be almost as an effective at reducing alcohol cravings as food cravings.

Good luck brother.

look in to buspirone

I’m gonna just throw this out here because I’ve tried addressing with him personally but this is the third time NO ZIP CODE WAS INCLUDED ON THE ADDRESS LABEL and my pack bounced around the state for an extra five days while usps fingered it out.

Frustrations
once pack received and I looked at the label, what the post office worker told me was incorrect. They did not print a label with all zeros again. It had simply been torn in transit/processing. I apologize for airing my frustrations in the totally wrong direction with misinformation.

This vendor is amazing as always. He even showed me the label the shipper used instead of matching my derogatory attitude he simply informed me that the previous issue we’d had had been addressed and to let him know if I couldn’t receive my package.

TLDR I ran my mouth about some shit that I should have confirmed and half ass bashed one of thr best vendors we have and I wanted to clear the air and apologize

Just wanted to leave another thumbs up for @PCT24X7 PHARMACY. He's super helpful whenever something goes wrong, which between customs and our beloved USPS messing shit up, something eventually does go wrong. He always makes sure you get the pack, and that you're satisfied. He'll work with you if you need special orders or want to use a different shipper. Sometimes his reshipper will do something careless, but he always makes it right.

There are a lot of shitty sources on this page, but pct24x7 is top tier, and my go-to for 90% of orders.

Placed my first order on 5/14. Was quite a bit of stuff, coming in 2 packages. Both cleared Jamaica/Queens over the weekend, so the hard part is done. Looking forward to hopefully getting it next week.

Order process was easy and smooth. He was also nice enough to answer my questions

Just curious is there a good reason why they require signatures for packs with this vendor?
i can’t help because there has been no rhyme or reason why a sig was required. i’ve had several packs from both spots land successfully, but only needed a sig once. even talked to the postman through my door cam telling him it’s cool, but he held firm. same packaging, same declaration each time, so who knows. maybe 24x7 has some insight.
