Definitely agree with the kudos of others here regarding notifying your customers of this situation. However, unless the testing can be completed immediately, it may be a good idea to let Shree Venkatesh know of the potential concern before awaiting the outcome of your tests. They then can initiate their own investigation and processes to assure the non-PCTZone customers are not in danger.
