popcorn and french toast - diet hacks

if you guys are on a cut and you're not eating popcorn, you're doing it wrong. one cup of white rice is 200 calories 43g carbs and i don't know about you but i can inhale that in 10 seconds. 4tbsp of popcorn (kernels) fills up an entire cereal bowl and has the same macros, is more filling, and takes longer to eat and is just so enjoyable. the oil used adds maybe another 30-40 calories.

guys, don't make yourselves miserable when you don't have to. my eating habits are great and always have been when it comes to meals so it's not the cheeseburgers that tempt me, it's the snacks. pretzels, gold fish, cheese its, any kind of cheese, olives, little sweets is what i love eating the most and as long as i can keep that under control, i can maintain my leanness all year round and these popcorn and french toast diet hacks are really saving my ass.

the french toast recipe and macros are as follows:
-wonder bread (4 slices in my case)
-egg whites (2 cups)
-sweetener + cinnamon (optional)
-1/4 cup sugar free syrup

537 calories: 56g protein, 3g fat, 66g carbs

mix the sweetener, cinnamon, and egg whites in some type of container. let the bread soak it all up - 4 slices should soak most if it up. drink the rest. then throw it in a pan and you got yourself some protein french toast. had to take a few bites before taking this pic.

share any diet hacks you guys might have and lets make america shredded again!

Why not just eat whole foods with nutrient density.

Sweet Potatoes and Salmon, has all the macro and mico nutrients you need for good health and you can eat a lot fewer calories.

Or better yet, collard greens, kale, broccoli, and fish, very few carbs.

I wouldn't eat white bread, empty calories. Corn in all it's forms is empty calories even though it has fiber. I'd dump the vegetable oils, too many calories and hardly any nutrients.

What is your amateur contest record with this sort of prep?

Sounds good I’ll have to try the French toast recipe!

Great recipe, the picture looks delicious. I don't know how you restrained yourself from eating everything before you took the photo.

Bassmati rice saturates perfectly and after it there is no appetite for a long time. It is powerful to stew ordinary kale with tomato and herbs and it comes out very tasty and very few in calories.

i eat whole foods all the time. these diet hacks i'm talking about are healthy alternatives that satisfy cravings. if you're itching for a muffin or a cake, the french toast stuff i posted can maybe scratch that itch.

If you're itching for a muffin or cake, that can indicate nutrient deficiency. Personally I don't itch for junk food, if I don't have a deficiency. Nutrient-dense animal foods fulfill what you'll need to keep cravings at bay.

so, by your logic, junk food is only consumed by those with nutrient deficiencies...? lol i don't know about that bud..

i can't imagine life without being able to eat those fresh cookies from the bakery every now and then.

If your suffering from a nutrient deficiency you tend to crave things that contain it like eggs, liver, etc...

If you crave snacks it tends to be more so as they are hyper-palatable and your looking for a sugar fix...

In theory.

That said, its nice to be able to enjoy life and food is one of life's pleasures.

Life's for living and there's absolutely no need to torture yourself and be super strict about food unless you're some sort of male model or you're a pre-comp bodybuilder.

A little luxury ain't gonna kill you or make you look like shit is it bro lol

Yes, many people have such a craving for goodies. But I can say for myself, I can eat the same thing monotonously and it doesn’t bother me.

Yes, any desire for some goodies is right, this is an incorrectly compiled diet.
Yes, for many people food is a pleasure. For me, it's just fuel. Although I can eat well. But very seldom.
Eating is a habit, as you form it, so be it.

I am in the same boat here, as I enjoy the simplicity and habit of this. But when I go out for dinner with the wife...man there is a nice big steak or a big plate of Carbonaro coming my way. I just wright it off as a naughty refeed lol.

I think you've got an odd relationship with food if you class a steak or a bowl of pasta as "naughty".

I eat foods like that everyday as part of a well balanced and very healthy diet and I get to enjoy some nice flavours instead of forcing down dry chicken breast and brown rice all the time and worrying if I'm 8% or 6% b/f.

It must be really dull living like that and constantly looking at yourself in a mirror.

You missed the part where I said I enjoy it. And I classify any meal over 1K calories as “naughty” just for the fun of it.

Man there are some pricks coming out as of late.

Ultimately I don't know you personally or what you really believe but (from an outsiders point of view towards guys that restrict their diets to the point I'm assuming you do too) I honestly think that you've probably convinced yourself in your own head that you enjoy it solely because your goal must be to get shredded or stay shredded and you know that's the only way to achieve that look.

You've probably forgotten what it feels like to eat a healthy balanced diet with loads of variety and different flavours everyday and "actually" enjoy your meals everyday but keep doing what you're doing if you're set in your own ways.

It's all just my opinion bro after decades of knowing lads like you but that doesn't mean I'm a prick for saying what I said.
