High fats on cycle?

Wondering if anyone has tried a LOT of fats on cycle? I always have a full freezer of farm goods (my own) ie pork shoulders. That and I am a hunter.

Most of my carbs are barley cooked in bone broth, pretty high in fat. That and sweet potatoes and squash. I also eat a lot of spinach. 8 fresh eggs and toast with butter for breakfast lol

I find it really hard to not eat a ton of fats based on what I have around. Protein is never a problem!

Has anyone else played with fats like this? I know I am certainly curious and the answers might be interesting.

Currently starting 500T only to get back up a bit after another injury. Last complete blast was ended Dec 2019. Last one got 4 weeks in and got seriously injured again. October 2020 so been out of the gym and in physio etc for a while running a lower back healing program.

Time to eat again!!!!!

This is most peoples experiene when trying to eat higher fats in a surplus.

There's a reason all the bodybuilders usually eat a high carb/protein and lower/medium fat diet.

This might be a good read: Renaissance Periodization | The Case for High-Carb Massing

It depends upon what you call high fats. I am frequently above 100 grams of fat when eating in a surplus. Have you ever tried tracking your macros?

As far as being a hunter, I am, too, but venison and elk are low fat. I wrap my doves in bacon, so, um, well, we won't discuss the fat content. I think ducks are high fat, too. But most of my meat still comes from the grocery store, and most of it is chicken due to $.

Done it and hate it,just get fat faster...carbs are lot better energy source for us bodybuilders, fats should be just enough for hormones and to absorb some micros.
High carb always for me and i stay lean on over 5500kcal easy, Justin Harris talks a lot about this type if diet. Super smart coach, and he is the one that always said how good is the primo

You should probably include current macros.

also mention about yoi being a hard gainer.

Backhoe weighs almost 40 lbs less than me, but eats 1k more calories than me to grow. (Both eating in a solid surplus)
Yet can stay lean and vascular the whole time.

That kind of information can change the advice of guys that compete like @malfeasance and @MuscleFreak

How many grams of fat are you consuming on 5500kcal?

It is mostly 800g carbs, some high days up to 1200, protein 400-450g every day...fats i pop some fish oil or krill and rest is indirect from steak and so on...
On rest days i keep carbs very low around 300.
But i train very hard so i need lot of calories, this is not for everyone, and also keep in mind it take years and years to reach this calories,if u go from 2000 to 4000 u just become fat over night

I always track and weight my food. I live by my food scale lol. i don't have a problem growing either. I was just curious about the fats. So far today I'm at 125g of fats lol. My winter maintenance is 4100cal

I have heard besides the energy I need that calories are pretty close to equal on blast.

As for the hunting.... I preserve my meat in rendered fat ie bear.

Starting to eat around 4600 and will bump that if growth stall in the form of carbs.

What do you consider "LOTS of fat"?

Well, indirect. That is why I was asking how many grams of fats. For instance, I typically eat 6 eggs in the morning. When I am cutting I eat two plus whites. The yolks alone bring a lot of fat. I like nuts and peanut butter, although I do not eat much of them when cutting.

I had steak last night! Fat, fat, fat.

Any idea how many grams of fat you eat in a typical day? My normal diet has a lot without adding any.

In past cycles I have not exceeded 125g. The meat I happen to have in the freezer for some reason this year is all the rich cuts and animals lol. It's so flavorful it hurts to trim it out or eat around it.
