Ahh I'm the same way. I switched teams from a bunch of fuckups, drinking and drugging to a real team who takes it serious... we won the championship last year. Actually I won a championship in softball and BB last season. I've been playing hurt all year.. literally can't stop aggravating a pulled hamstring, I even gave two weeks off.. felt great, re injure it every time I try to run hard. 2.5 months it's been hurt, better, hurt, better. I get singles on what should be doubles... Doubles what should be triple or better. Only get to DH, cause they don't want me getting hurt more. So I don't get to play the field at all...

Ye my only homers are fields with fences .. alot of the softball fields have No fences.. so u have to run to earn ur bases.. even bombs i only get doubles or triples cause I am literally galloping on one leg right now

Yep and I’d plan my routes based on that. What’s my time VS fuel cost worth. If I had no load waiting on me I’d stay around 63 or catch a draft on someone keeping a constant speed, people doing the accordion between 65-70 wasted more fuel. But if I had a load booked and waiting on a deadline that made the fuel cost worth it I’d hammer down.

The Georgia to Washington runs were crazy, 1mph over that distance was something like 80 minutes of travel time.

So true. I rarely get in a hurry. 63-65 mph. But if it’s a busy day I can knock out 7-9 loads locally. Shit what fuel mileage lol. Maybe 5 mpg if I’m lucky ha. Keep that boost gauge pegged! Turbo putting in work just over there singing!

You still drive?

This happens all the time when I try to give financial advice, people bitch when they see how little I make but everything I have. I try to explain how I got there and they don’t want to hear it. People who use a debit card for everything annoy me. I try to tell them to get a cc and stack points then pay it off monthly but I usually get something like “I can’t do that because then I’d still spend the money in the bank” well you’re stupid and can’t be an adult which is why you’re in debt.

The other thing is people try to make fun of me for having so much debt. Paying off debt isn’t always smart. If I bought my truck at 3% but my investments are making 6% there’s absolutely no reason to pay off my truck early. I’m making money by borrowing it, and most accounts rollover the dividends so there’s no capital gains to pay. The response I usually get is “I don’t want to owe anyone anything.” That’s great but you’re stupid and going to spend more money.

Lmao Ye man I remember from little league how parents are. Man I know it will he easier said than done but.. I've thought about how to handle that situation... Why can't a coach just say:. " I put the players at important positions who demonstrate the most ability to help the team remain competitive"..... And then I'd simply say. " Why don't you go help your kid develop his game, and do what a parent should do, so that when he shows up, he has a legitimate chance to compete for a position... Instead of trying to get him in based off of pity...".

Dude . That's horrible to have a parent get a kid to play somewhere they have no business playing... Unless they truly have the talent for it and the coach is just unaware of it... But when a parent puts a kid in that place... It is more damaging to them... Cause that kid goes out there with no confidence and even worse, that kid and every other kid on the team, (even at a young age) knows they don't belong there. It fucks them up from an early age.

Nope, way less money now but I’m home every night and have free time as I need. It was great to bring home 3-4K net every week but if there was truck issues or no loads then it just became too stressful. I was also on the road more than I should have been chasing the dollar. I regret not stopping to smell the roses during that time. I’d pass up landmarks and scenic routes all the time trying to deliver a load as fast as I could.

If I get down on my luck I’ll hotshot with he pick up but hopefully this job keeps me active. I won’t get back into logistics unless I’m in a position to run a company and sit back most of the time.
