It really just sounds like you are not getting enough calories in. You need to find calorie dense food that’s easy to eat/digest , and keep moving it. Eat, shit, fuck. Rinse and repeat

This is what I did for awhile. I had what I called “base foods”. Base foods where foundation meals. So a base food would be rice, taters, beans.....

Then I just added what I needed. So if I was having beans and I still needed fats and protein, might add avacado.

I used the base to meet the majority of the goals, and everything else to spice it up/meet other macro nutrition
 
Just asking but is that glycojet a glucose supplement?
Wouldn’t it be a good idea to use that right after your workout followed about 15 mins later with protein.
From what I think I’ve read, that glucose will spike your insulin and allow excellent uptake into your muscles. When that happens you follow it up with the protein and bcaa or bca?
This is a question for who ever. Just trying to see if my thought process is correct here???

Hey. No it’s just carbs. 100 calories 25 I just sip on it during workouts. Cause when they said I had diabetes I was on low carbs and would be so tired during my workouts and need some kinda carb during my workout but now I’m back to normal I just take it for Extra carbs

You’re right, I was overstepping and answered a question you weren’t asking.

Ground beef mixed with rice is cheap and easy 80/20 beef or 70/30. You can make a bunch ahead of time. I eat that for both breakfast and lunch some days.

You’re set with gear, and reading what you do during workouts sounds solid. Get the diet tightened up and you’re there. Like @Wrath said use a calorie tracker and figure out where you need to be each day.

But I’m gonna come at this from a different angle. Instead of shortening the cycle I’m gonna shore up the diet.
I used to really have my diet right on track. I’m just gonna get back to being serious about it. My girlfriend will just have to deal with it. Maybe some might rub off on her.

When you’re eating on a budget 70/30 ground beef is better than anything in powdered form. Animal fat isn’t bad at all. It’s the bullshit Trans-fats that agrobizness introduced (cause it’s cheap and has a long shelf life) and tried to use it to save us. 15-20 years after and it’s the trans-fat that is completely unhealthy and useless to us. Animal fat [emoji106]

When I was a kid McDs still cooked their fries in lard. Fucking tasted so good. No one was fat. Now it’s veg oil and look at the fat asses waddling into that place.

Me too but that is hella expensive to try to utilize. But I’m going this 70/30 route.

I eat the same shit mon-fri. Weekends I treat myself

1# 10 egg white omelet with turkey sausage and spinach. 1/3 cup cream of rice one scoop almond butter

2# 1/4 cup cream of rice. 1 scoop protein and almonds

3# 7 oz chicken, 1 cup rice and green beans and more almonds

4# 6 oz sirloin steak 1 cup rice and grean beans

Intra workout I take 1 scoop glycoject

Post workout 1 scoop protein

#5 7 oz chicken 1 cup rice and grean beans

And before bed usually a bowl of cheerios lol
That’s a pretty good diet there. Well cherrios probably not but I’m sure not gonna makena big deal of it lol
Yes. You’ll be surprised how you can spice up rice and ground beef to make it not as boring.

Mushrooms , taco seasons, chili seasoning, fajita seasoning.... list goes on. Helps break up the drab factor.

Also depending on your macros, you can add cream to it and make it into a thicken style soup. Maybe some corn and it’s like a bullshit chowder type deal

Considering that you have blood pressure issues though, you might want to be mindful of the sodium in some of these ready made spice packets.

The wife just throws different types of seasonings, nothing fancy and a jar of tapatio in the lunchbox gets it done.

The guy I train with used to do some work for the Mayweathers. I’m not that good, but I have a right hand that drops people. I’ve KOed two dudes sparring and I didn’t even mean too. That reputation spread quick at the gym and I get far less dirty/challenging looks. So my philosophy works for me ;)
I’m in time out this month because of knocking these dudes out, not allowed to throw anything but jabs and left hooks. Coach is pissed that I don’t know how to act :mad:
And they were talking about us needing geritol and a rocking chair. Get em bro!
 
how old were these dude that you knocked out? I don't box at all but if I did and agreed to spar with someone, even with headgear I would expect that me getting KOed would be a possibility. Maybe boxing isn't their game and they should try crossfit.

One is my age(mid 40s) other guy maybe 30? The one my age was kinda scary, his head hit the floor and was out for a minute. His daughter and her friend were watching. I can understand the coach being upset at that one but the other one just can’t take a punch.
Know what’s crazy is after I hit the first dude I pulled my glove off and my neoprene padded wrap was split in half. Apparently I hit that dude pretty hard.

I stay pretty lean all year doesn’t matter what I eat lol. Unless it’s show time then I gotta cut it out

It is but it’s also a sport with weird not on the books rules. I’ll admit it’s hard for me to keep it in check because of my mentality. I’m a kill or be killed type in everything I do, I just need to find that middle ground.

Stop sparring and ask for an actual match. It’s probably good for you to let loose every now and then
 
Honestly the answer I needed was 70/30 ground beef. I don’t know why it didn’t dawn on me. For some reason I been thinking I needed ground sirloin.
I’m just gonna have to watch the fats that I consume with my other food groups. And even if my fat climbs a little, I just let it be or reduce my carbs slightly.
Because that vertical diet calls for the highest quality beef... maybe you read that somewhere?
